Absolutely. Walking the Mile High Swinging Bridge is one of the highlights of the tour. You'll also have time to explore the wildlife habitats and Wilson Center for Nature Discovery during your visit to Grandfather Mountain.

The full experience runs 5–6 hours, including the scenic Jeep ride through backroads and overlooks, your time exploring Grandfather Mountain, and the relaxing drive back through the High Country.

We provide bottled water and snacks. We recommend comfortable walking shoes, a light jacket (it's often cooler at elevation), sunscreen, a camera, and any personal items you'd want for a day outdoors. Dress in layers — the High Country weather can change.

Grandfather Mountain occasionally closes the bridge or certain areas in high winds or severe weather. If conditions affect our planned route, your guide will adapt the day to give you the best possible experience. If we ever cancel for safety, you'll have the choice of a full refund or a free reschedule.
